IRL: Robert Doornbos eindigt testwerk in Barber op zesde plaats

Honda met Takumo Sato naar de IRL?
Na het teleurstellende optreden van de ALMS-series voor het seizoen 2009 overweegt HPD (Honda Performance Department) de serie nog voor het eind van het seizoen te verlaten en zich op de IRL te richten. Daarbij viel afgelopen weekend al de naam van Takuma Sato. Die zou misschien nog voor het einde van het seizoen voor het team van Gil De Ferran uitkomen. In de ALMS rijdt de Acura Honda de komende races zonder concurrentie. Ook Fernandez Racing zou eventueel weer naar de IRL terug willen keren.
